From Interns to Impact: Celebrating a Summer of Growth and Achievement

Every year, our internship program provides students with real-world experience, meaningful projects, and opportunities to make a lasting impact. This summer culminated in a memorable day as our interns presented their accomplishments to Barrett’s Executive Committee and management team before celebrating their success with a dinner cruise on Buffalo’s waterfront.
A Chance to Showcase Their Work
One of the most valuable experiences for any young professional is the opportunity to share their work with leadership. Throughout the summer, our interns worked alongside teams across all regions of Barrett, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to projects that support our mission and business goals.
As their internship experience came to a close, each intern took the stage to present their summer projects and key takeaways to members of our Executive Committee. These presentations highlighted not only the technical and professional skills they developed but also the confidence and leadership abilities they gained.

Before stepping into the spotlight, interns had the opportunity to participate in a professional headshot session. This session provided interns with a valuable professional resource they can use as they continue to build their resumes.

Celebrating Success on Buffalo’s Waterfront
After a day of presentations and reflection, it was time to celebrate.
The group gathered for a dinner cruise on Buffalo’s scenic waterfront, enjoying an evening of great food, conversation, and unforgettable views of downtown Buffalo, NY. As the boat cruised along the water, interns had the opportunity to connect with peers, mentors, and company leaders in a relaxed setting while reflecting on everything they accomplished during the summer.

Our internship program is designed to provide more than just work experience. It creates opportunities for mentorship, professional development, networking, and personal growth. The final presentations and celebration served as a reminder of how much can be achieved when talented students are given the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow.
